Nissan unveils all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks at the Los Angeles Auto Show

There were several new models unveiled this year at the Los Angeles International Auto Show and among these a particular model attracted a lot of attention. It’s new 2018 Nissan Kicks, a model that no one really saw coming, and which could be one of the most best-selling vehicles of the upcoming year.

Safety and versatility combine with agility with the new 2018 Nissan Kicks

The 2018 Nissan Kicks will become Nissan's new entry-level SUV when it enters the market next June. In a range that already includes many sport utility vehicles, the Kicks will be the model for owners looking for an affordable, agile urban SUV that is also relatively spacious and versatile.

It will be powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine developing 125 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be combined with an XTronic continuously variable automatic transmission only, and only a front-wheel drive configuration will be available. It's a safe bet that the new 2018 Nissan Kicks will be one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs on the market when it arrives.

It will also be packed with safety equipment including an emergency braking system with automatic collision detection offered as standard. A rearview camera and seven airbags are also standard. A blind spot monitoring system along with a rear cross traffic system may be added.

In terms of interior equipment, the 2018 Nissan Kicks can be equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions as well as a high-end Bose audio system. Three versions and five colors will be offered in total in the Kicks lineup.

"As the gateway to Nissan's adventure-ready sport utility line-up – joining Qashqai, Rogue, Murano, Pathfinder and Armada – Kicks is designed to fit the needs of singles or couples looking for expressive styling, personal technology, smart functionality and advanced safety features," said Steve Rhind, director of marketing for Nissan Canada Inc.
