Just as it was about to announce a new sponsorship agreement with Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park, Japanese automaker Nissan took the cover off the brand new 2017 Nissan Pathfinder.
The seven-seat sport utility vehicle gets significant upgrades that will make it an even more important player in the midsize SUV segment in Calgary.
New 2017 Nissan Pathfinder coming soon to Calgary
"The new Nissan Pathfinder takes the iconic nameplate to an even higher level of performance, technology and style," said José Muñoz, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America, Inc. "The Pathfinder is the perfect vehicle for connecting urban and off-road adventures”.
The new 2017 Pathfinder features a 284-horsepower direct injection 3.5-liter V6 engine as well as a host of new convenience and safety features. The engine, which used to produce 260 horsepower, also sees torque increase from 240 lb-ft to 259 lb-ft. The Pathfinder’s engine is now powerful, which means it can tow more, and will help make the driver even more confident behind the wheel while also continuing to surprise owners with its fuel efficiency.
The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder also features a new motion-activated tailgate as well as Forward Emergency Braking, adaptive cruise control, and an Around View Monitor that now includes object detection.
